Burning Uke is Back for 2025!

August 8-10, 2025

The Ukulele Club of Santa Cruz is holding a new variation of its fabled camp out party known as Burning Uke on the weekend of August 8-10, 2025. It’s happening at the KOA Santa Cruz / Monterey Bay, located at 1186 San Andreas Road, Watsonville, CA.

Call (800) 562-7701 to reserve their cabin, RV or tent spot and be sure to let them know you’re with the Ukulele Club of Santa Cruz. We highly recommend that everyone go out there and check it out to figure out which type of cabin or accommodation you prefer. There are also campsites and RV sites – all with various prices. A deluxe cabin cost $350 per night and a camping cabin costs about $175 per night. Most of the cabins sleep 4 to 6 people so think of this like a sailing adventure!

Everyone can figure out who they would like to share a cabin with, sign up your uke friends, collect the money, and make the reservation! We’ll see you August 8. Round up your friends for a fun weekend! In case you are wondering what will happen? Magic. We will camp together, enjoy the beautiful pool and lots of beautiful music. Each participant will get to choose two favorite songs, and we will play them all! There will be workshops, and certainly there will be fun and a ukulele that gets burned with fantastic fanfare.
